Long Awaited Pics

Too cute huh? I made these for my niece Emma. She says she loves them! I do too! They look like they are dancing! I love the mouse's little tail! So sweet and easy to make.

Seashells and Sailboats

So after six years of BB3 having the "Transportation" theme we have changed it to sailboats and seashells. The whole conversation about said change which neither one of my coteachers remember. Obviously it didn't mean much to them. Well, I had the fabric already so I put this together to take the place of the quilt that our director wouldn't buy ("just couldn't find a cute one with the transportation theme" ) When I brought this one in everyone was shocked. I just had to laugh. Not shocked because it is some amazing work of art but because I would actually do the extra work of making it for my classroom.

Then to top it off I brought the old pictures home and painted over them in the new theme!

This is the finished look. I also made pillow cases for the little pillows that are on our rockers with fabric left over from the quilt. I think it looks great and it makes me feel more at home at work. There is a funnier story here but I haven't the energy right now to put it all up here. I will later though so you can chuckle with me...

Two Hour Knit

So I made necklaces for a couple teachers at work, two for Mother's Day because they are wonderful co-teachers and one for a secret pal gift because she does such a great job. The last teacher asked me to make one for her niece in certain colors for her birthday. This ended up being the only one I photographed! I love the pattern though, it's my first beaded knit and it just was so easy and quick I made this one before work the day before yesterday! I got this pattern out of the book 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders. I think I might make one for myself.

On a Cloudy Day

It's oh so soft and oh so warm. I love it! Twisted Wrap from WrapStyle in Marabrigo Wool.
It's going to get a lot of wear this Fall.
